Find out about Hackney has changed over time and uncover the stories of different people who have moved to Hackney by exploring objects in their suitcases.
Pupils become local history detectives by looking at mystery objects from different suitcases to help discover whose story each suitcase tells. The suitcases tell the stories of different people who have come to Hackney at different points in time from the 1700s to 2000s, and for different reasons. The session includes object handling, images and maps of Hackney in the past and discussion.
