What was Hackney like in the Old Stone Age?
Explore what Hackney was like 300,000 years ago, during the Old Stone Age.
In this session, pupils will get hands on with real Stone Age artefacts to find out more about the now extinct humans who made them, the Neanderthals. Pupils will find out about the animals that lived in Hackney 300,000 years ago and the environment they lived in, as well as exploring how we have built our understanding of Stone Age Hackney through the work of Victorian collectors and labourers.
