Hackney Young Curators

How we see our histories is important. What do you value? What should be seen and talked about? This project gives young people aged 14-18 the chance to shape a piece of Hackney, uncover little known stories and explore the artefacts and objects which tell the tale of this borough.

Hackney Young Curators is a project led by Hackney Museum, exploring the histories of the borough and its people. A small group of young people are currently exploring Hackney Museum’s surprising collection through 5 workshops to create a public exhibition and event in mid-September.

This programme is funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
